Harley is a filmmaker fledgling who graduated with her bachelor's degree from the Experimental Animation program at California Institute of the Arts in 2015. She is a lover of the arts, dogs, houseplants, and a sturdy income. You should hire her. Money is important to Harley. It can be exchanged for goods and services.
Biography:
In the blistering heat of a 1993 Southern California August afternoon, Harley's mother finally expelled the life energy-sucking being from her loins. She bestowed onto her the name Harley, which loosely translates to "oh transcendent one," or "magnificent orb of light." It is currently unknown what language translates Harley into either of those phrases, but we try not to talk about that.
As a child Harley suffered many shortcomings; she couldn't fly, didn't have a hidden and more powerful than you can possibly imagine third arm, or a bionic exoskeleton. However, she overcame these obstacles and had a bright and happy childhood, albeit devoid of flight. One day when she was watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the hundredth time, she pondered how such a film was made. When explained to her she broke down in tears. She couldn't even draw one picture that good, how could she draw 12 of them and make them move, and even then only for a split second? Well, she just had to find out. She improved and improved, and then she compared her work to others, and then she cried some more, and then eventually decided that drawing was too hard and tried stop motion instead which had its own problems but it's kind of worth it.
In the Spring of 2011 Harley was accepted to her dream school, and the years to follow were life changing. She learned how to use computer programs to help her art, how to make things look better, and most importantly how to make them move. It was at this school that she discovered her love of Indonesian music and dance, and while maintaining her major in Experimental Animation she devoted most of her free time to learning Balinese and Javanese dances and playing in their respective gamelan ensembles (while also dabbling in West African dance).
By now you may be saying to yourself; "wow, this girl sounds really cool and multi-talented" and let me just say thank you. That is really flattering. But I am a humble magnificent orb of light so I'm going to have to stop you right there; no, really. Compliments are not what I came here for. I just want you to give me a job so that I can have talented children of my own and raise them with the grace and composure with which I raised myself-- I mean with which my parents raised me. I guess they had some hand in it, whatever. I was pretty easy to take care of.
